Taapsee Pannu will be next seen in the prequel/spin-off of the hit 2012 film Baby, titled Naam Shabana. Fans who loved her action sequence in the first film are very excited for this one which tells solely the journey of her character. Akshay Kumar will be seen in a cameo, and Anupam Kher and Manoj Bajpayee lay key roles. Unlike Baby, Naam Shabana has a few songs in the narrative. The first few released weren’t that impressive, but the latest one is going to rock the music charts. Titled Zubi Zubi, this one is a remake of the hit song Zoo Zoo Zoobie Zooby from the Mithun Chakraborty film Dance Dance.
The new Zubi Zubi lives up to the expectations and is a cool party number. So many old songs have been butchered at the hands of music directors as they attempt to remake – like Cheez Badi in Machine, or The Humma Song in Ok Jaanu. But Zubi Zubi from Naam Shabana belongs to the category of good remakes. If you are going to remake an old ditty, this is exactly how you do it. Rochak Kohli has composed the song, while Sukriti Kakar croons this ditty. Both have done a job to best of their capabilities – perfection.
The best thing about the music video of Zubi Zubi is that suddenly all the partygoers at the club suddenly don’t cut to choreographed dancing. Everyone is doing their own thing at the dance floor, like it actually happens at the pubs. Also, Taapsee doesn’t all of sudden break character and show her dance moves on the floor.
Taaapsee does appear in the song but she is only there to hunt down someone in the club. She does find that person, but before she can do something she is escorted away by a man, who is wearing a mask. From the body language the man seems like he is Akshay Kumar. We will find the answer to this mystery on March 31.
