Taapsee Pannu’s next venture Naam Shabana is all set to kick ass this Friday when it opens in theaters. Before that, a special screening of the espionage thriller was held in Delhi, and the makers made the first screening a tad bit more special by inviting over 100 female cops. Yep, the first screening of Naam Shabana saw the attendance by 100 women police officers in Delhi. Akshay Kumar, who has a cameo in the movie, was also present at the screening.

Naam Shabana centers around Taapsee’s character from the hit 2012 film Baby. The movie narrates the journey of how her character became part of the covert team ‘Baby’. With a female character that excels kicking ass, quite literally, it was clearly an opportunity to all the real life heroes for a screening. Makers held the special screening in Delhi to celebrate the courage and hard work shown by female cops. In these pictures you can see the smile that the ladies at the screening flashed at the sight of Akshay. This must have been one of the proudest moments of his career of almost three decades.

Taapsee opted for a monochrome OOTD! She topped it with blue earrings, and a braided hairdo – which made her look pretty cool. Akshay and Manoj Bajpayee, who also appears in Naam Shabana in a key role, were present in their casual best.

Akshay, Manoj and Taapsee visited the Gargi College for women on Monday morning. Akshay spoke about the importance of women knowing self-defence techniques. “In our country, I believe, girls should not learn martial arts or self-defence because I feel they should be free to walk anywhere, anytime, anyplace. But unfortunately, because of some dirty people they have to learn self-defence,” the actor expressed.
