Horror-thriller is a genre that never runs out of fashion. After working on a daily soap for five years, Surbhi Jyoti is back with Star Plus’ Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai. It also stars Shoaib Ibrahim and Sharad Kelkar. The actress has shared a video of the promo and it will remind you of the classic horror films. It has the vibe of the 1920 series of Vikram Bhatt and also flicks like Woh Kaun Thi and Madhumati. We guess it is more in the horror thriller genre than a classic spook fest. The series has been shot in Rajasthan and has a vintage feel. (Also Read: Sharad Kelkar joins Surbhi Jyoti and Shoaib Ibrahim in their supernatural saga – Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai)

We see Surbhi Jyoti sitting alone in a hall wearing an off white salwar kameez. The lady hears a noise going from the clock and heads out. It is the 3am syndrome here with all the clocks in the hall ringing. It is something we have seen again and again. The tagline of Sach, Saazish Ya Saya adds to the element of suspense. We liked how the eerie ambiance was created with the sprawling home, huge windows and vintage furniture was used. It is certainly better than the usual production in terms of execution and art direction. The sound effects also seem decent. Along with Surbhi, we will see two handsome hunks, Shoaib Ibrahim and Sharad Kelkar. The former will be seen on TV after two years. He was the original Prem of Sasural Simar Ka. Shoaib is looking great nowadays and he and Surbhi will make for a charming pair. TV hunk Sharad Kelkar is also a part of it. We can guess that she is a widow who is perhaps encountering the spirit of her deceased husband. Sphereorigins Multivisions Pvt Ltd are the makers of the show. They also produced Sharad’s most successful show, Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar. It was supposed to take the 10.30pm slot of P.O.W- Bandi Yuddh Ke but now buzz is the release has been postponed to end February. We guess it might be a weekend show since it is a finite series.
