Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees is making big things happen at the box office. In fact, we should say he is making unheard of things happen at the box office. Earning Rs 93. 24 crore in the opening weekend when you are clashing at the box office with a biggie like Kaabil, is simply incredible. Yes, we are talking about SRK who can sell anything and everything but still it is an achievement. That’s because in a clash, screens and audience get divided. Raees will soon touch the Rs 100 crore film in the domestic market. It will not only become the actor’s seventh one to do so, it will also open the Rs 100 crore chart of this year. Raees has become everyone’s favourite the moment it released. The teaser of the film had released way back in 2015 giving us a glimpse of a Shah Rukh we were dying to watch on screen. But the trailer of the film released in December 2016. That’s because the makers decided to not clash with Salman Khan’s Sultan. It definitely was a wise decision since there is nothing that can stop the Salman storm at the box office. So they decided to take on Kaabil this year instead and the gamble paid off. It started off very well as was expected of a SRK film but it was the Republic Day figure that gave it the biggest boost. It propelled the film to unimaginable heights and thanks to that the film has managed to maintain a strong ground at the box office.

It needs only a few crores to earn Rs. 100 crore. If we talk about worldwide collections, the film has already touched the coveted figure. SRK had indirectly shared the same on Twitter saying, ”

Good of u to explain gross and nett to so many who keep quoting figures.
