We have heard this and thus thought of sharing it with you. According to reports, Salman Khan‘s Tubelight has already made Rs 20 crore by selling off its music rights. That’s much more than what Prem Ratan Dhan Payo had amassed. It had pocketed Rs 17 crore in the same category. Now, this isn’t surprising to note that Tubelight is making that much money through music rights alone. It is one of the biggest releases of this year and is expected to repeat the success of Sultan and go beyond if possible.
All we have till now about Tubelight are a few snaps from the sets of the film and a first look that Kabir Khan had shared long back. Of course, we want more from it and soon we will get it. PTI had reported that the Bajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan spoke about the trailer recently. He said, “We are editing the film. We will very soon release the look and trailer of the film.” In all likelihood, you will get to see the trailer next month for sure. There were talks about tiffs between Kabir and Salman but the way they hugged it out during the completion party of Tubelight, it had finally put all rumours to rest. In fact, the director can’t stop praising his lead star. Talking to IANS, he had said, “Salman will be seen in a completely different way in the film. If people have thought that Salman’s performance is special in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, then his performance in ‘Tubelight’ is five times better than it. The audience will see Salman’s better performance in Tubelight.” He also spoke about the film. “I made a film and now it’s up to the audience to decide whether the film is good or bad. However, I don’t carry forward the pressure of the past film. Otherwise, I would have made another movie like Ek Tha Tiger. We have made ‘Tubelight’ and if people like the film, the business will be similar or more than ‘Bajrangi…’ and if they don’t, then it would be a bit low,” says Kabir.
