Raveena Tandon returns to the big screen with hard-hitting Maatr as the main lead. While she will be seen kicking butt and in a super serious avatar in the film, off-screen she is a lot of fun. And that was clearly visible when I met Raveena Tandon during the promotions of her upcoming film. In a BollywoodLife EXCLUSIVE, I played a game of rapid fire where I literally translated her hit chartbusters and asked her to guess the original version. A bit reluctant initially but she was game for it and was at her jovial best. As you can see in the video above she got in the groove and even sang a song or two briefly. Be it Ankhiyon Se Goli Maare from Dulhe Raja or Aaja Gufaon Mein Aa from Aks.

Apart from that, we also spoke about the National Film Award controversy, the Censor Board issue and her hilarious take on the sequel to Andaz Apna Apna. Talking about the film, Maatr is a story that needed to be told. In the film review, we mentioned that it’s the story that is the need of the hour. “The film has its fair share of snags but what keeps the momentum going is the fact that you feel content whenever Raveena’s character succeeds in her mission. The film will take you through various emotions of discomfort, angst, outrage, cringe, satisfaction to plain meh. Despite its flaws and an uneven plot, watch the film for its compelling, hard-hitting performances and the fact that it creates a world where justice is served someway or the other,” said our review.
