Rajinikanth‘s gonna once again reunite with his Kabali director Pa Ranjith after the release of Shankar’s 2.0. It is reported that Pa Ranjith is preparing for the film the same way he did for Kabali. That means he is gonna have rehearsals with all his actors just like he did for his 2016 film starring Rajinikanth.

According to DC, a source close to the film unit said, “The pre-production is speeding up, and just like Kabali, Ranjith will be holding rehearsal session for all the actors, and this will begin in the next 10 days.”

The source further added, “The title and first look will be announced next month before the crew can begin shooting, which will likely begin in mid-May.”

Reportedly the film will feature Vidya Balan as one of the female leads, and while the team is tight-lipped about the rest of the cast, the source told that the official announcement with all details of the film will be out on May 1. The film will be produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films will be set in Mumbai.

As far as Rajinikanth’s 2.0 is concerned, the film was supposed to release on Diwali 2017 but it later was postponed to Republic Day 2018 as the makers claimed they were not Vfx ready. It is said that the team wishes to achieve world class standards in VFX hence the shift.
