Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees is getting better and better with every passing day. It started on a big note, took the lead in this clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil and is continuing to flourish. People are watching the film again and guess because of that, Raees is refusing to slow down. After making good money in last three days, Saturday saw a massive jump in collection which took the toll to Rs. 75.44 crore. It earned Rs.15.61 crore on Saturday which was supposed to be big and that’s exactly what it was. Shah Rukh’s film had already crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark in three days. These are massive figures for a film which is sharing screens with another equally popular film. It might have more number of screens than Kaabil, but a clash definitely affects everyone. SRK’s Raees could have earned much more had it released solo. Trade was very hopeful about this film, and despite a clash, it is doing pretty well. For SRK, Raees has to work because Dilwale and Fan have dented his standing at the box office. His other two Khan contemporaries, Salman and Aamir, have gone way past him. While one has again added the highest grossing film of Indian Cinema to his filmography with Dangal after P.K. Salman is busy giving Rs. 300 crore with every film. To be fair, both of them got solo releases but Fan did see a solo release too. So these numbers are definitely an indication that Raees could have been bigger if it was a single release.

Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures saying, “#Raees is EXCELLENT… Wed 20.42 cr, Thu 26.30 cr, Fri 13.11 cr, Sat 15.61 cr. Total: ₹ 75.44 cr. India biz.” Thursday is the only day when SRK’s film saw a massive jump while rest of the days, it has only seen dips. So far it is going great but we wonder what lies ahead for it.
