In just three days, Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees has crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark which is simply splendid. The film took a great start on Wednesday with over Rs. 20 crore in its kitty. Republic Day added a humongous Rs. 26.30 crore to the tally, which is by far the highest any film has earned on R-Day. The holiday has definitely worked in its favour and now it has earned another Rs. 13.11 crore at the box office, which has taken the toll to Rs. 59.83 crore. That’s simply brilliant.
Taran Adarsh, Trade Expert, revealed the figures saying, “#Raees Wed 20.42 cr, Thu 26.30 cr, Fri 13.11 cr. Total: ₹ 59.83 cr. India biz… All set for a big Sat and Sun.” You can see that the film has only seen growth from the time it released. We were expecting the film to earn big even on a working Friday and it did just that. Despite people going to work yesterday, they have managed to turn up for SRK’s latest bonanza. The morning and afternoon shows yesterday were a bit slow but it picked up really well during the evening and night shows. Although trade was looking at a Rs. 15 crore for Raees, it couldn’t get that much. However, these aren’t bad numbers either. Check out the tweet once more.

Yesterday we told you how the film took UAE-GCC with storm too. In two days, it had earned Rs. 9.53 crore. But it feel slightly short of scaling up to Dangal which had earned Rs. 11.11 crore in two days in the same circuit. However, Raees is getting a lot of love overseas and it is poised to get the good numbers soon enough.
