2017 is quite an exciting year down South, as we have interesting projects lined up. There’s Rana Daggubati’s first war at sea film – Ghazi, Mani Ratnam’s unconventional love story Kaatru Veliyidai starring Karthi and Aditi Rao, Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu to name a few. Pongal 2017 already saw three big ticket releases hit theatres – Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni, Chiranjeevi’s comeback film – Khaidi No. 150 and Vijay’s Bairavaa. But above all, this year won’t be complete without the mention of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali:The Conclusion and Rajinikanth’s 2.0. The excitement around both films is visibly huge. Considering we have so many intriguing projects coming up , Bollywoodlife decided to conduct a poll to find out from our readers, which south movie were they looking forward to the most in 2017. And now we have the results! Unsurprisingly, Baahubali 2 is the clear winner as fans declare this the most awaited movie of 2017 down South. The sequel has received 40% votes,  beating even Rajinikanth’s 2.0 that received 28% votes. We are not surprised one wee bit. The buzz around Baahubali 2 is seen to be believed. Every detail, update or news about this film is a big deal among fans. Also, most importantly with the release of the conclusion, we will finally know why Katappa killed Baahubali! If Baahubali was big, the sequel is going to be grand! Everything in the movie in terms of visuals, architecture and war sequences is going to be a visual treat. This time, they were able to get on board trained experts for the war sequences. Since Baahubali is now a brand, the team could invest in more to make the sequel a bigger and better part. Also, the same team – Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia and Rana Daggubati that was nervous shooting for the first part, is excited for the sequel. Baahubali 2 wrapped up shoot after three and half years on January 6. It was an overwhelming moment for the Baahubali 2 crew and team as they finally completed the concluding part of this Magnum Opus. But our trysts with this historical drama doesn’t end with the second part. There is a virtual reality game on Baahubali to look forward to, the first book in the Baahubali series was recently launched, and we also have graphic novels coming up.
