Last week, the makers of Baahubali were in for a shock when a nine minute climax sequence was stolen from the editing unit and two and half minutes of it was leaked online. Post this mishap, the makers have now tightened the security to protect the plot. Here’s what writer Vijayendra Prasad had to say while speaking to Deccan chronicle, “What happened recently (the piracy) was despicable.Luckily, the plot wasn’t revealed. But there is not much we can do to stop such incidents from happening. There are 250 technicians working on post-production. Anyone who feels like showing off to his friends can record and leak the footage. We can only appeal to the good sense of the people who are tempted to do such things,”

Although video is no longer available but it had showed Prabhas and Anushka preparing for battle followed by a war scene. Some reports state, the leaked video was part of the scene just before they reveal, why Katappa Killed Baahubali? It was all over Facebook and Whatsapp. The video was taken down after Rajamouli filed a cyber crime complaint with the Crime control centre. Of course, the graphic designer who was behind this all was arrested along with 6 other people. The producer also took to social media to let eveyrone know that the person in question had been nabbed. “It is very unfortunate that a small unfinished video clip of @BaahubaliMovie was leaked online yesterday. The person responsible for the leak was identified with the help of security features in place and was arrested late last night by police and handed over to cyber crime.”

Baahubali 2 is one of the most awaited films of 2017. It is the sequel to Baahubali; The Beginning. The films stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati,  and Anushka Shetty. While the first film was grand, we can accept the second installment to be bigger and better in terms of visuals and architecture. Also, of course fans want to know why Katappa Killed Bahaubali. The film is set for release on April 28, 2017. There were rumours that suggested, the makers were going to postpone the release post the leak but turns it’s far form the truth. While speaking to Behindwoods, Shobu, the producer confirmed “No, there is no change in the release date of Baahubali: The Conclusion”.
