A lot has been written about how Akshay Kumar usually has the highest number of releases in a single year and last year was no different. Last year he was seen in not one, two but four films (if you include a cameo). The films we are talking about are Airlift, Housefull 3, Rustom and Dishoom (cameo). And all of them were highly successful at the box office. But while going through the film releases of last year (strictly for research purpose), I realised something and that is the fact that it was not Akshay Kumar but Jimmy Sheirgill who had the maximum number of Bollywood releases. I know you might be thinking that Jimmy Sheirgill is no match for Akshay Kumar as far as their box office standings are concerned and that’s true but if you look at the films of Akshay Kumar, he was either the main lead or one of the main leads and same goes for Jimmy Sheirgill. The box office performances of his films notwithstanding, he was either the main lead, the parallel lead or second lead in all his films that released last year and his list of films included twice the number of Akshay Kumar’s films. Yes, he has featured in a total of eight Bollywood films, including a voiceover in an animated film.
