Magalir Mattum, Bramma’s next is finally out with its trailer. Starring Jyothika in the lead and Oorvashi, Banu Priya, Saranya Ponvannan as supporting cast, the trailer is entertaining in every sense. Jyothika plays a documentary filmmaker who is researching on a certain subject – Women and their need for freedom. Along the way, she has decided to challenge three women and take time out for themselves only for 3 days. In 72 hours, these three women discover another life they hadn’t known until now. The movie’s powerful message will make you think. Jyothika’s sass, style and her bad-ass approach make her one hell of character! The background score perfectly complements the theme of the movie. The cinematography deserves a mention too. The burst of colours along with these 4 powerful characters has made us sit up. We can’t wait for its release now!

The film has been produced by Suriya’s Home production. Reports suggest the superstar might have a cameo appearance in the climax sequence. To catch Suriya and Jyothika in one frame after so long, would be one awesome treat for fans! The film has been shot across various locations in India.

#MagalirMattum trailer a fun entertainer with a nice message on women empowerment. Cheers #Jyothika, @2D_ENTPVTLTD https://t.co/NHvM39S1Cf

Jyothika made a comeback in 36 Vayadhinile, the Tamil version of Malayalam movie – How Old are you?. The performance opened to hugely positive reviews. She was also awarded the Filmfare Critics Award down South. She was to be part of Vijay-Atlee second project, but soon due to reasons unknown she opted out fo the project. Soon after it was announced she would be part of Bala’s crime thriller story – Nachiyaar also starring G.V Prakash Kumar. Set in 1980s  Valasaravakkam, Chennai. the film is reportedly based on  based on a psycho killer who killed nine of his relatives. From the looks of her choices, Jyothika is very clear about doing women-centric films in her second innings.
