Don’t know about you but I am pretty much excited about the upcoming movie, Kong: Skull Island. I know there are people who would raise their noses up when it comes to this genre, but I love movies where human are at the mercy of the wildest and strangest of the elements in nature. But I wasn’t too much of a fan of the previous King Kong movies, except for the first one, that’s a classic. Peter Jackson’s version in 2005 was a visually upgraded take, had decent special effects and Andy Serkis was terrific in his mo cap performance as the ape, but it was an hour too bloated. So I do hope that the upcoming movie, Kong: Skull Island manages to do justice to the genre.

At least it got the cast with some amazing actors like Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L Jackson, John Goodman, John C Reilly, Toby Kebbell etc. The new trailer has landed, and it shows a few more scenes of the monsters along with King Kong than the previous trailers. It shows King Kong in complete action mode, destroying helicopters and attacking monsters. Skullcrawlers are very prominent in the trailer, and they seem to take the role of the T-Rex in the previous King Kong movies. There are also scenes of Brie Larson with the ape, as well as the Oscar winner taking on a Skullcrawler all by herself. Strangely, Samuel L Jackson is seen very less in the trailer. Will he bite the dust early on?
