The Hello! Hall of Fame awards saw some of the best but worst looks at the red carpet. The event, which was held last night, was to honour some of the best talents in the industry be it in terms of entertainment or style. So while we reported all the winners from last night to you, the style cop is up and about. Although there were some decent looks at the red carpet, nothing did catch the eye. The celebs dressed in the most basic attires and didn’t have that spunk, which we generally seek for at award functions. Present were Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Alia Bhatt, Twinkle Khanna, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Disha Patani and more. Some of these names did bag trophies but a lot of them failed to leave a last impression on us. Oh we got a bone to pick with some of them for choosing the ensembles that they did for the awards night.
Some of the titles awarded to the celebs did seem quite legit, however, there were many undeserving who bagged the trophy. We’re not going to name the disappointments and leave a wave of hate for us on social media but you guys can post your guesses in the comments box, by all means. Coming back to style, there were some good looks and bad looks we have had to deal with and we think it’s time we bring it to their notice. Honestly, none of them were striking as such but since they pulled off a decent look, we’re including them in the best list. Scroll away and check it out.

BEST (or should I say decent)
Outfit: Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla gown
Kaif needs to get over the colour red or we’re getting over her! At almost every award function or event, the diva has only donned red and shades of red. Not that we don’t like this look. It’s pretty and everything but it’s time she tries to experiment far more than what she’s doing right now.
Outfit: Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ensemble
The frills are in and Twinkle has blended in the trend superbly with this ensemble. Despite the dull hue of the outfit, the fiesty diva has managed to pull off the look damn well. She received Woman of the Year award at the event and she definitely donned the best ensemble to accept it!
Outfit: Georges Chakra
Previously at HT Most Stylish awards, the diva had donned a pretty Reem Acra outfit and it looked super awesome! Here too, she has kept the tempo of the look low and sported a pretty gown. While we do like her look and the styling done, we wish we could see some more edgy and quirky looks from the actress.
After the Zee Cine Awards debacle, Hrithik attended Hello! awards in a fairly decent ensemble. He wore plain white tee and trousers and teamed it with a black blazer. Like how Goldilocks says it, ‘Not too much, not too less’, we found this look pretty good.
Cant say we loved Varun’s look for the event but he sure kept the dapper level at par. He looked cute as he donned the velvet blazer along with his formals. Nothing to complain here. Even the bow tie looked nice!
Shahid has never gone wrong when it comes to fashion and even last night, he looked the best among the boys. Like always, he kept a minimal look but styled it with utmost panache. Be it his sleek hairdo or his coat, somehow he stood out among the others!
Outfit: Swapnil Shinde gown
Patani hasn’t really been a trendsetter since her Bollywood entry but with that retro hairdo, we think the other ladies must watch out for her. She donned a lovely red velvet (oh and she looked just as delicious as the dessert itself) thigh high slit gown. Although the ruby necklace and ring was a little too much, but otherwise, it was a pretty good look for the red carpet.
Outfit: Gaurav Gupta
What stood out the most in this look was Shriya’s dramatic blouse. She has tried a similar look in the past as well. The sari may have been a little dull but Shriya’s blouse was too fancy. Loved it!
Outfit: Sharnita Nandwana
Damn, Anushka really needs to up her fashion game for red carpet events. This is probably the third or fourth time she has donned a ‘not so impressive’ look at an award function. During the promotions of Phillauri, her chic looks were to die for but perhaps acing red carpet isn’t her cup of tea, yet.
Not only was Urvashi’s gown a total drab but even her hair didn’t complement the look well. No offence but she looked like she’s one of the descendants of Cruella De Vil! The diva still needs a lot of polishing to do in terms of her style game.
We can’t believe that there were actually monumental patterns on his kurta! *facepalm* Not that we’re surprised with the ensemble but it just gets quirkier and quirkier (not in a good way!) as the days go by.
That was the roundup for the best and worst looking outfits on the red carpet of Hello! Hall of Fame awards. Who according to you deserved to be in the worst and best section? Tell us in the comments box below. Stay tuned to this space for hot scoop and latest updates.
