Akshay Kumar’s luck at the box office continues to shine brightly with Jolly LLB 2 gaining money with each passing day. Despite being on day 17, the film has done pretty well for itself in the third weekend. By collecting Rs. 6.26 crore on week 3, the cumulative total has reached to Rs. 110.71 crore. Taran Adarsh shared the numbers saying, “#JollyLLB2 collects ₹ 6.26 cr in Weekend 3… [Week 3] Fri 1.75 cr, Sat 2.01 cr, Sun 2.50 cr. Total: ₹ 110.71 cr. India biz. HIT.”  You can see over the weekend, the film has stayed steady despite the release of heavyweight Rangoon, which stars Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The fact that Jolly LLB 2 is earning despite being at the box office for three weeks now means the film is still preferred over the new releases.

Akshay has given his fourth Rs. 100 crore in quick succession. It started with Airlift last year and was followed by Housefull 3 and Rustom. It’s as if making Rs. 100 crore is the least that one can expect from his films. Akshay has a simple strategy to make his films work. He has started doing stories which can make people think. But he never does it without entertainment. Hence, all his films have an equal amount of brain and fun. Plus, he doesn’t believe in doing big budget stuff. His films are medium budgeted which works out splendidly for the producers who invest on him. Also, he doesn’t believe in taking a long time to finish his films. He apparently got done with Jolly LLB 2 in just 33 days. So clearly, he is the most bankable actor in the industry in terms of the way he conducts himself. No wonder his films earn so well at the box office and become a profitable venture within days.
