IIFA Utsavam 2017 was held yesterday and many took home the coveted trophies. We already gave you a glimpse of the green carpet happenings which left us very impressed. Now we have the winners list which however isn’t a complete one. Yesterday, only Malayalam and Tamil films were awarded and today Kannada and Telugu film personalities will be rewarded for their acts. Irudhi Suttru or Saala Khadoos won big at the event. Both R Madhavan and Ritika Singh picked up the Best Actor and Actress category. Picking up the award, Madhavan said, “Irudhi Suttru was an important film for me and it gave me a new lease of life in Tamil cinema. When Sudha approached me with the script, I was impressed that I got involved in the production and scripting as well. It was a collaborative process.”  Dhanush’s production venture, Naanum Rowdythaan, a Tamil romantic comedy, bagged the Best Actor in Comedy role for R.J. Balaji, best Payback Singer female for Neeti Mohan and best Playback Singer male for Anirudh Ravichander. Filmmaker Atlee bagged the Best Director award for Theri. In Malayalam Cinema, Dulquer Salman’s Charlie won seven awards including the Best Actor award for him. Tamil filmmaker S.P Muthuraman was awarded with an award for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. Check out the list right here…
