We were one of the first to share details of Gautam Rode’s film Aksar 2 with Zarine Khan.  One of TV’s handsomest hunks is gearing up for his film that releases in the next few months. Besides the film, he is also doing a web-series with Vikram Bhatt titled Summer of Frost. Gautam will be seen with Sandeepa Dhar in the web-series that is set against the backdrop of the Mumbai Terror Attacks of 2008. In an interview to Hindustan Times the actor opened up on creative satisfaction and how TV actors were paid a paltry sum while debuting in films. But money is not a priority for Gautam, who is one of the highest-paid actors on telly. (Also Read: Divyanka Tripathi will look best opposite Gautam Rode – say fans!)

The actor said that it was tough for many TV actors to compromise with the poor pay packets they got while venturing into the big screen. He said, “There is no money in films, till the time you make it to a certain bracket. It’s tough for A-listers on TV, who get a good amount in the TV industry, to digest the paltry sum (of money) they receive from a film producer, at the beginning of their film career. It’s almost like debut in films. So, money is never the criteria (for me). At the moment, I am not focused on the money, but on good work and establishing myself as an actor.” In his TV career, Gautam has been part of big shows like Saraswatichandra, Suryaputra Karn and Mata Ki Chowki. He has also hosted reality shows. (Also Read: Gautam Rode looks smokin hot as he shoots for Aksar 2 in Mauritius – view pic!)

Gautam is also very excited about the digital space. “There is not much money in web series, but you get a lot of creative satisfaction, and one can wrap it (shooting) up quickly. Although, I am working on a new film, I will be able to judge where I stand only once it releases. But I am sure that I will never quit TV. I will continue to do finite TV series and weekend shows, or host reality shows, which test me like an actor,” Gautam told the daily.

Well, his fans are waiting excitedly for Aksar 2, which is a sequel of the Emraan Hashmi-Udita Goswami flick. Stay tuned to Bollywood Life for more scoop and updates
