China anyway is a big market for Hollywood films as they just lap them up. But franchises like these and the superhero ones get the maximum pull. Even in India, such films make the most moolah. So it was evident that the film will do great business but such numbers were not expected. Apart from that, F8’s opening weekend was the highest in many other territories as well, including India. Other territories were Argentina, Colombia, Egypt, Estonia, Indonesia, Israel, Lebanon, Malaysia, Middle East, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, South Africa, U.A.E., Uruguay, and Venezuela. The $192.1M opening in China was also an all-time record in the country.
