Recently, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s picture with Netflix CEO Reed Hastings went viral. They met at Shah Rukh Khan’s place for a meeting and it was later reported that Aamir Khan has signed a deal of Rs 120 crore for his upcoming Thugs Of Hindostan. Now if a report of mid-day is to be believed then after signing Rs 75 crore deal for Dangal’s satellite rights, Aamir Khan is now all set to sign a Rs 20 crore deal for its digital rights with Netflix.

A source close to the team reveals, “The amount being offered is anywhere between R15 to R20 crore. Aamir is keen on signing the deal with Netflix.”

Earlier there were reports that Aamir Khan has signed a Rs 120 crore deal with Netflix, which has more than 86 million members globally. The reports further suggested that Netflix has acquired the satellite and digital rights of Aamir’s next film- Thugs Of Hindostan, while the actor is most likely to retain the theatrical and music rights of the film. There haven’t been any official announcements made so far, but if that happens, this could possibly be one of the biggest deals that’s happened in the history of Bollywood. According to a SpotboyE report, the real reason behind the meeting of Shah Rukh and Aamir, was to discuss how to go about the plan. “Netflix wants to buy the rights of all films of Shah Rukh and Aamir which hit theatres from now on. This means that you will see the films of these two Khans first on Netflix and not on Sony/Star/Colors/Zee,” the portal quoted a source.
