Hindustan Times Most Stylish Awards 2017, which took place in Mumbai on Friday night, was one fashionable event. Everyone from Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Anushka Sharma to Shraddha Kapoor turned up in their best outfits.  While some managed to grab eyeballs and turn heads a few others failed to leave an impression. Here’s an entire low down of the Best and Worst Dressed from the event.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika kept it simple yet stylish in a black off-shoulder pant-suit. The Padmavati actress, who won Most Stylish Global Icon award at the ceremony, rocked the minimal-beauty look as she restricted the makeup and accessories to a bare-minimum. We agree that the off-shoulders are now a fading trend but Deepika has proved that if worn with the right amount of cuts and flares, it can look classy.

Alia Bhatt

Alia looked like a complete diva as she flaunted her one-shoulder silver outfit at the red-carpet. With her hair pulled back, dewy makeup and no jewelry, the actress looked fresh and elegant. We liked how her stylist added drama to the short dress by playing around with the side trail. Alia won the Most Stylish Trendsetter and Most Stylish Actor – Jury’s Choice awards.

Parineeti Chopra

Parineeti looked like a modern-day version of a Disney princess. It was risky on her part to go for a bright orange colour for a night event but we must say that she pulled it off quite effortlessly. We liked the little cut that her designer gave her at the bottom of the gown. It added much-needed edginess to the otherwise ‘cute’ look. Messy hair, red lipstick and eye-liner completed her look.

Taapsee Pannu

I personally loved what Taapsee Pannu wore to the event. Her outfit has a perfect balance of style and comfort. While the palazzos give a flowy-easy vibe, her top adds just the right amount of drama to the look. Extra points for choosing a ‘safe’ colour like black and still out-doing it.

Disha Patani

Disha Patani wore a shimmery gown with a plunging neck. While I think she could have experimented more, the over all look was not that bad.

Jennifer Winget

Jennifer was perhaps the only television actress to have made it to the star-studded event. She looked like a stylish boss-lady straight out of a chic-flick. The aztec print added colour and vibrancy to the look.

Esha Gupta

Esha Gupta surprised us with her panache. Her outfit might not appeal to all but the attitude which which she is carrying it surely will. She has the looks of a show-stopper, mahn! She completely nailed the thigh-high slit look.

Sayami Kher

Sayami looked pretty and princess-like in this simple yet classy off-shoulder gown.

Anushka Sharma

If only Anushka would have opted for another material. The hair and make-up is all fine but the velvet is a major put-off. I wonder how would she have survived in it in this March heat. I think it’s time she understands that Bombay and Velvet (Pin totally intended) do not go together.

Shraddha Kapoor

Sorry Shraddha, but this look is so not working. Firstly, the red and white print is a bit too distracting. And what’s with the hair?

Rani Mukherjee

While we were glad to see Rani at an event after such a long time, we hate to say this that her outfit failed to impress us. Maybe she should have gone for some lighter shades. The red and blues are just too loud to handle.
