Are you ready to witness one of the most epic wars of all time? Are you ready for Baahubali 2? Good, because it’s going to release in about 8000 screens! You heard that right, the mammoth project created by SS Rajamouli has reached such a large scale that most of the theatre owners, not just the Bollywood ones but also the ones in South India want to screen it. A report on DNA has stated that everything is going upward for the film. Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles, the film is going to be a crazy rage as soon as it hits the theatres near you! Well, that’s what the trade gurus speculate. However, right now is the time to revel in the joy of witnessing Baahubali 2 in the theatres near you, because the film does not have any competition.

A source has told the leading daily, “Bollywood films run on close to 5,000 screens across the country. In South India, 3,000-odd screens cater to major Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films. Do the math. With no other film (Hindi or otherwise) arriving alongside Baahubali 2 on April 28, the only face-off in theatres will be the one on screen — between Prabhas and Rana Daggubati.”And further adds, “After being made at the biggest budget ever, it’s natural that the film’s placement will reflect that. Also, given the number of languages, the film will release in, it is expected to take in the biggest opening in the history of Indian cinema. Ever.”

The stakes are super high for this war drama as trade speculates, it will easily cross 60 crores! “Even if you assume the film releases across 6,500 screens, the first-day collections could well be to the tune of Rs 60 crore. Also, as April 28 is not a holiday, one cannot expect cent per cent collections all over, but they will be huge. Expect numbers to be in the excess of Rs 50 crore, at least. Don’t be surprised if numbers turn out to be even bigger since a film has never had such a lavish pan-India release before,” says a source.

With such a positive response for a South film, that hasn’t even released yet, April 28 is surely going to be one epic day! The ticket sales have already begun so have you booked your seats yet? Tell us in the comments box below.
