Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha were inseparable when they were promoting their film – Tevar in 2015. The adorable duo became extremely close during the filming of the movie and sources had revealed to us back then that the actors are pretty much together. Yes, Arjun and Sona reportedly dated for a few months before calling it quits. Since then, it has been reported that there is some bad blood between the two and hence, they have been giving each other cold-shoulders at every party they attend. However, Arjun disagrees! In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Arjun opened up about his current equation with Sonakshi and also reveals how they make it a point to greet each other whenever they run into one another.
While talking about what went wrong with rumoured ex Sonakshi, Arjun mentioned to the tabloid, “Some equations last. Others don’t go beyond the making of a film because after it is over, people go their separate ways. I am still really fond of her as an individual. Unfortunately, it is always made to seem like we do not acknowledge each other at parties, which is not the case. We always make it a point to greet each other. There is no pressure on either of us to maintain an equation beyond a certain amount of time. I saw the Noor trailer. I think she is going through an exciting phase in her career.” (ALSO READ – We asked Sonakshi Sinha to rate Hrithik, Fawad and Arjun on sex appeal and her reply is exactly what we thought it would be!)
Post their break up, Arjun and Sonakshi went separate ways. While Sonakshi has reconciled with her ex – Bunty Sajdeh, Arjun has been linked with quite a few B-town hotties including Jacqueline Fernandez and Athiya Shetty. On the professional front, Sonakshi will be seen next in Noor, which releases this Friday. Arjun, on the other hand, will be seen opposite Shraddha Kapoor in Half Girlfriend that releases next month. But does Arjun currently have a girlfriend or a half girlfriend in real life? The actor revealed, “Half girlfriend is an emotional term. Frivolous would be ‘Friends with benefits’; there is no emotional attachment there. In our film, Madhav (his character) and Ria’s (Shraddha) relationship doesn’t get a closure. But there is nothing frivolous there. In college, there are relationships in which you’re extremely close to the other person but sometimes it doesn’t turn into anything solid because of circumstances. That beautiful, incomplete love is half girlfriend. I’ve had one such incomplete relationship. Right now, I don’t have a half girlfriend in real life.”
