Aamir Khan usually has only one release per year and yet manages to usurp everyone in the box office game. Last year Dangal earned so much money that it managed to become the highest-grosser of Indian Cinema in no time. It even managed to beat Salman Khan’s Sultan. So obviously it is the new benchmark now. Baahubali, thus, has its work cut out. The second installment of the film, that releases on April 28, has the potential to be bigger than Dangal. The trade has already predicted that it might be able to go past Aamir’s wrestling drama easily by earning Rs 500 crore. That means Baahubali 2 will also manage to beat three big records that Dangal had made when it released last Christmas. Although it is pretty amusing to see how the film has only managed to shatter three domestic box office records with its mind-boggling numbers, they are indeed commendable ones. Highest Day 3 collection ever

Dangal registered highest day 3 collections for any film in India. Amassing a total of Rs 42.41 crore on its first Sunday, the film defeated Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which had held the coveted position till then. The Salman Khan-starrer had earned Rs 38.75 crore. With such a massive collection, Dangal got the perfect boost thanks to the first Sunday collection. Baahubali 2 can make the same money easily, and we are pretty sure about that.

Highest Sunday collection ever

As pointed above, by earning Rs 42.41 crore on its first Sunday, Dangal had created a record of earning the highest on that day. No film before it had managed such a huge figure. Baahubali 2 has to go beyond that number, which really doesn’t look difficult at all.

Highest grosser in the history of Indian cinema

And finally the big one. Every film of Aamir Khan dethrones his previous one from the spot of the highest-grosser of Indian cinema. Before Dangal, it was PK. The only film that had managed to even come close to that spot was Baahubali that had released in 2015. And now, with Baahubali 2, it is expected that the film will take the top spot, replacing Dangal. The Aamir Khan film has earned Rs. 387.38 crore.

Now you tell us if Baahubali 2 will be able to break these records.
